FPP is a not for profit voluntary organisation, established in 1996 following a meeting of public sector buyers based in Dublin, Cork and Belfast. FPP represents organisations and individuals concerned with purchasing within the public sector in Ireland.

Its principal objective is to promote best practice and offer support to both buyers and sellers operating in the public procurement market in Ireland. FPP offers an independent objective voice in the area of public procurement.
